Say indie-quirk with Ka-Sha!

Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2017 kick-started at its brand new venue, the JioGarden, Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai. The first day witnessed some absolutely gorgeous and eye popping collection from various designers, one of them being Karishma Shahani Khan, with her label Ka-Sha.

Her collection is a palette full of vibrant colors and intricate detailing. The vibe of the collection was very vintage and happy. The highlight of the show was the revamping of the sari and the summer trench coats.

Ka-Sha has always been known for its impeccable layering techniques . The multiple pieces, gracefully resting on each other, unveil layers of surprise and beauty.

The majestic colors with a pop of some spectacular hues used on the sides and hanging tassels worked as an icing on the cake!

The graceful movement of the models was accompanied by the ding dang movement of the lovely, colorful tassels in the outfits, adding a tinge of fun and joy!

The revival of the classic trench coats, made the men look absolutely dapper. The use of colors made this collection highly summer-friendly; there was white, dusty purple, green, yellow and a lot of blue.

The exorbitantly colorful shoes added a jolly taste to the overall royal and subtle looking outfits. The customized flat lace up chappals adorned by the models implied that gone are the days when walking in 6-inch stilettos was “the thing” in fashion shows! They gave a very summery casual chic touch to the entire look!

The highlight of the show, as mentioned above has to be the “revamped sari”, as I call it, the models looked like beautiful moving pieces of live origami.

So, yet again, with this collection, Ka-Sha proved that the label is an epitome of Indian contemporary wear and it came out with flying colors (like literally) with the fascinating array of  such ethereal pieces of art!
